Physical Education

The N.J. Crush F.C. are pleased to announce a partnership with The Spine and Health Center of Montvale. This partnership changes the local landscape of elite player development. This will provide a defined player pathway to better educating the staff, players and parents, within the NJC family, about injury prevention, assessing players before injuries occur, proper dynamic warm-ups and cool downs during training sessions, games and tournaments.

The Spine and Health Center of Montvale, a multi-disciplinary medical practice located in nearby Montvale that provides physical therapy, chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture services. The group’s founders include Dr. Kelly Blundy, DC, BCIM who is Board-Certified in Integrative Medicine and focuses on nutrition and Dr. Peter Wohl, DC, BCIM who is the team chiropractic physician for the Clemson University track and field teams. Both Dr. Blundy and Dr. Wohl are certified in Active Release Techniques (ART) and Trigenics, two advanced treatment protocols for athletes. On the physical therapy side, Dr. Bruce Buckman PT, DPT brings years of experience working with athletes, highlighted by work with the San Francisco Giants and New York Red Bulls.

The partnership will target player weaknesses and allow for players to be evaluated by the staff at The Spine and Health Center of Montvale . Players will be given opportunities to be seen by the staff for their assessments. The Spine and Health Center of Montvale will then provide a program for each individual player to strengthen their physical weaknesses.

Once the player from the club enters into the partnership structure, the players will be closely monitored by The Spine and Health Center of Montvale. It is the role of the NJ Crush ‘s staff to provide the best training environment and greatest platform for development for its players. We are eager to begin this process and relationship with The Spine and Health Center of Montvale.

The Spine and Health Center will be providing educational seminars newsletters, exercises of the week, FMS screenings and more as part of this partnership. Stay tuned for upcoming events!
